RECRUITMENT

THE SONS OF QUIXOTE PROTEST CHOIR

1 DOWN. 19 to go.

Are you a father in the Bay Area representing yourself (pro per) in Family Court and fighting to remain present in your child’s life?

We are forming a protest choir of 20 fathers from across San Francisco, Contra Costa County, Oakland, and the greater Bay Area who are navigating the Family Court system without legal representation.

Volunteer to join our organization’s leader, Jim Breen, and 19 other fathers as we perform ‘The Impossible Dream’ from Man of La Mancha. Stand together, raise your voice, and let the family court system hear us.

THE DOCUMENTARY

TILTING AT WINDMILLS: FATHERS FINDING THEIR VOICES

The choir will culminate in four peaceful public performances in front of four family law courthouses where participants will perform together as part of a series of filmed demonstrations

This entire project will be filmed for a documentary titled “Tilting at Windmills: Fathers Finding Their Voices” which will document the emotional journey of these fathers as they learn how to sing one song, take part in group therapies to reveal the psychological and emotional toll the fight for their children had on their lives and share intimate selfie videos along the way as they take part in a choir to spread awareness of the struggles fathers face in family court.
